General

What are the reservation conditions?

1. Scope of applicability
The General Terms of Reservation detailed below apply to the relationship between the company SKIPRO, Franz Pisek and the customer (hereinafter referred to as the Renter) and are limited exclusively to the reservation of skiing and/or snowboarding equipment via the internet.

2. Reservation
Following receipt of the internet booking and checking of all details entered (clarification of any areas which are unclear and potential changes), SKIPRO sends the Renter the reservation confirmation and invoice to the email address specified when booking. After successfully making a reservation and paying, the Renter receives a voucher by email. This contains all the details entered by the Renter and entitles the Renter to reserve skiing and/or snowboarding equipment at the specified branch. The photos and images on the website are for information purposes only and are not contractually binding. SKIPRO prepares the equipment for the customer in each case to the quality standard as indicated by the booked category. The equipment shall be in good condition and suitable for normal use. SKIPRO reserves the right not to accept bookings.

3. Prices
The rental price can be paid directly and online using a credit card. The prices for the specified equipment category are based on the ‘online booking prices’ as published on the internet for skiing and snowboarding equipment. In the event of any price differences between the price featured on the SKIPRO homepage and the price on the reservation confirmation/invoice, the reservation confirmation/invoice price is deemed to be approximate and not binding. Prices include all legally applicable taxes and duties. The family discount is granted when two parents hire skis or a set (from VIP3* or snowboard). In this case, max. 2 children under the age of 10 receive free hire on skis or a set (children’s ID will be checked, if appropriate).

4. Complaints
In the event of any complaints relating to the reservation, SKIPRO should be informed in writing immediately after receiving the reservation confirmation/invoice. In the case of complaints received later than this, the Renter is required to cover all resulting costs.

5. Terms of cancellation
There is the option to take out cancellation insurance with Sport Easy (5 % of total before discount). In the case of cancellation, this Sport Easy cancellation insurance payment will not be refunded.

For the case that a cancellation insurance was not purchased, the booking cannot be cancelled free of charge.

5.1: Cancellation right before the start of the rental period or after accepting the equipment
In the event of illness or injury (medical certification must be provided as proof), the sports equipment should be returned immediately. In this case, any unused rental price will be refunded to the credit card used from the 1st day following the return of the equipment. A processing fee of 5% will be charged.

5.2: Cancellation due to weather conditions
In the event of the total closure of the ski resorts or Glemmtal valley, any remaining rental days will be refunded, provided that proof is given in the form of a declaration from the lift operating company. Any unused rental price will be refunded from the 1st day following the return of the equipment. The refund will be made to the credit card used and linked to the customer’s account, following notification of the relevant bank details. If the sports equipment has not been used due to bad weather or other such impediments, the rental price paid will not be reimbursed. Under no circumstances will money be refunded in store.

6. Insurance
The rented sports equipment is insured against breakage or damage through normal use. In the case of improper use, the Renter is responsible for the market value or repair costs. The Renter agrees to use any rental equipment provided in the usual way. Any unusual use (e.g. skiing on gravel paths etc.) will result in the Renter being charged for any repair or replacement costs required, wherever possible. In the case of theft, the Renter is required to lodge the case with the responsible security authorities within 24 hours as well as reporting the theft to the rental store. The Renter is required to ensure that the sports equipment is stored in such a way as to prevent any mix-ups or theft. As such, skis should be left individually and separate from each other or else stored in ski safes. Overnight, sports equipment should be stored in a locked ski store at the accommodation establishment or in a locked motor vehicle.

On presentation of a police report, an excess must be paid, except for when Ski Pro insurance has been taken out and then no excess is payable. A list of this excess is available in store. The police report is required in all cases!

7. Additional services
The rental price does not include any additional services required by the Renter (e.g. extra rental equipment, change to a higher rental category etc.) Additional services can only be agreed on-site. Supplementary insurance can be taken out in store.

8. Acceptance and return of the equipment.
If required, the Renter must present official photo ID (passport or driver’s licence) and confirm that a copy of this document can be made.

The skiing and/or snowboarding equipment is collected and accepted by the Renter on the 1st rental day at the branch specified on the voucher. Skiing and/or snowboarding equipment can be picked up from 16:00 on the day before the first official rental day.

Skiing and/or snowboarding equipment must be returned on the last day of the agreed rental period before close of business. In the event of the skiing and/or snowboarding equipment being used for longer than this period, the difference between the actual rental period and the reserved or paid for rental period is calculated in accordance with the standard rental conditions applicable on-site and the difference is then payable directly in store.

In case of improper handling of the rental items for example driving on the road, driving in closed not prepared slopes etc. the ski price will be charged.

9. Issuing of rental items
Please note that the company SkiPro cannot issue any rental items without payment first being made (by credit card or in cash). Thank you for your understanding!

10. Data protection
The Renter agrees to the collection and processing of any personal data required for the purposes of handling the rental and informing the rental store. SKIPRO agrees to only use the collected data for the aforementioned purposes and not to pass this on to third parties. The data protection guidelines for the new Data Protection Act applicable from 25.05.2018 are available in the imprint.

11. Choice of law and court of jurisdiction
Only Austrian law is applicable to these General Terms of Reservation. Zell am See is the exclusive place of jurisdiction. SKIPRO reserves the right to prosecute the Renter at his/her headquarters or place of residence or before any other responsible court or authority.
